Moment: Just moving into my house. I was a first-time homeowner, bought a fabu "vintage" (aka, old) cottage with hardwood floors and sellers' white walls all around. Because I had quite a month or so before my subleasor was to move into my old apartment, I spent the first few weeks of homeownership painting every single room in the empty house and sleeping comfily in the apartment. It's been 5 years (January, 1999!) in my little cottage. Lots of moments have come and gone in my little home. I do love it (it's as charming as I wish I were), but we're now thinking seriously of selling it and moving up for a little more space sometime this year. A whole new soundtrack to mark the new house, perhaps?
